CATERING SALES CONSULTANT (COMMISSION-BASED)

Contract

We are recruiting a Catering Sales Consultant to handle banquet and event sales and general customer service duties for our catering company. In this role, you will promote the company and help to find new customers, and build relationships to provide repeat business. You will also be responsible for hiring, event planning, and food preparation when required. The ideal applicant will have sales and high-volume catering experience. A bachelor’s degree in hospitality and restaurant experience is an advantage. Having knowledge of fine wines is also beneficial.

Find new customers for the company
Negotiate contracts
Manage relationships with repeat customers
Help plan the logistics for each event

BRAAI MASTER AKA GRILL COOK

Full-Time

We are searching for an accomplished grill cook to create meals in accordance with customers' preferences. The grill cook's responsibilities include preparing ingredients, informing waitstaff when orders are ready, and cleaning the grill after each shift. You should also monitor inventory to ensure that you have sufficient supplies at all times.

To be successful as a grill cook, you should be a skilled multitasker who adheres to food safety codes. Ultimately, a top-performing grill cook will create and propound innovative dishes for inclusion on our menu.

​

Grill Cook Responsibilities:
Slicing, cutting, shredding, tenderizing, and skewering meat and vegetables.
Braising and grilling meat and vegetables.

Checking that ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption.
Preventing cross-contamination.
Preparing meals in accordance with customers' preferences, if applicable.
Tracking the components of each meal to ensure that the final dish is completed in a timely manner.
Liaising with waitstaff once orders are finalized.
Ensuring that your workstation remains clean and orderly at all times.
Informing the Manager when equipment is due for maintenance, repair, or replacement.
Tracking inventory to ensure that you always have adequate supplies.


Grill Cook Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience as a cook, preferably with a focus on grilling.

Desire for continuous learning and professional development.
Capacity to stand for long hours.
Thorough knowledge of food safety guidelines.
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Level-headed with outstanding interpersonal skills.
Commitment to the production of high-quality outputs and excellent customer service.
Ability to work shifts, over weekends, and on holidays, as required.

Chefs at Work

COOK

Part-Time

We are looking for a dedicated cook to prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations and company standards.


The cook’s responsibilities include following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders, organizing workstations, and assisting other cooks as needed. You should also be able to ensure that the refrigerators and storerooms are kept clean and tidy.

To be successful as a cook, you should be able to use various cooking techniques and methods to prepare meals that meet our customers’ expectations. Ultimately, a top-notch cook should be able to handle multiple food orders without compromising on quality.

Cook Responsibilities:

Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items.

Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes.

Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage.

Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.

Monitoring supplies and re-ordering stock as needed.

Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.

Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas.

Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.

Efficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders.

Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed.

Cook Requirements:

High school diploma.

Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.

Proven experience working as a Cook.

The ability to follow recipes.
